American Trust makes security a top priority. That's why we have multiple levels of security in place for Online Banking. The primary multi-layer security elements are:
- Secure Browser Software – This software is able to support the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) security protocol used to encrypt or encode the information sent between our clients and the American Trust system.
- End-user Security - Users are required to setup strong UserID and password credentials. When logging on from an unrecognized device, you will experience our one-time security code or security questions.
American Trust's Online Banking is compatible with a wide variety of operating systems and Internet browsers. A list of those that have met our security and application requirements can be made available upon request. Keep in mind that while the use of security software provides additional protection for Online Banking, you should always ensure that your computers are installed with security software for firewall, anti-virus, and spyware protection and that the software is used and updated regularly.
